Battle the Flies: DIY Fly Deterrents
There are many reasons why you may be experiencing a fly infestation. If the flies are bothering you, it is important to take care of them as soon as possible. There are some easy ways to get rid of the flies in your home. First, use sticky flypaper to get rid of the flies. The great thing about this method is that it kills the flies without causing any harm to humans or animals. Also, you can simply dispose of these pieces when they are covered with dead insects and replace them with new ones if needed
If there aren’t a lot of flies in your home then another option may be fine for you as well – spraying those pesky bugs away with a Pet safe fly spray! You will need some dish soap and water, which you mix together into a spray bottle. Spray this near where the flies have been congregating and wait for them all to leave

Another method that is somewhat more intense may be necessary if you have a large population of flies. You will need to find the source of where they are coming from and dispose of it, which very well could include getting rid of some rotting food in your home. Make sure to wear gloves when doing this though as the smell can get pretty bad!
Make sure that you check back often to ensure that the flies haven’t come back – it’s a never-ending battle but hopefully one of these methods will help you win!
Finally, using natural ingredients such as peppermint oil also works really well at getting rid of pests like these. All you have to do is mix a few drops of peppermint oil with some water in a spray bottle and squirt the solution near where the flies have been spotted. The smell will bother them and they will fly away.
